Why We Are Doing Pay-What-You-Can Pricing

At Little Coffee Fox & Foxsy, we believe that creativity should know no boundaries.

For nearly 2 years, we have dedicated ourselves to building Foxsy into a learning platform that empowers everyone to embrace their inner artist and embark on a journey of creative exploration.

Along this incredible journey, we have witnessed the transformative power of art education and the profound impact it can have on people's lives.

We started with just 8 courses, and today, we are proud to offer a diverse range of 63 courses, with 8 more on the horizon. It has been a challenging endeavor, but one that has been incredibly rewarding.

The most fulfilling moments come when our students reach out to us, sharing stories of newfound confidence, personal growth, and how their lives have been forever changed by their artistic journey.

None of this would have been possible without the support of our amazing community. Your belief in our mission and your unwavering support have been instrumental in our success. We want to express our deepest gratitude for standing by us when we needed it most.

As we continue to push forward and expand our offerings, we are faced with the need for additional resources. We want to create a vibrant community platform and introduce four new Academies within the next six months while also enhancing our Watercolor Academy. However, these ambitious goals require financial support.

That's where our innovative idea comes into play - the Pay-What-You-Can Shop.

We have always wanted to offer physical products that bring creativity into every aspect of life. But pricing these products has always felt like a challenge. That's when inspiration struck.

During the height of the Covid pandemic, we made all our digital products available as Pay-What-You-Can offerings. The response was overwhelming - over 8,000 people gained access to lettering, productivity, and journaling learning resources at a time when they needed it most. What surprised us even more was the incredible generosity of our community.

Not only did many contribute a few dollars, but nearly 50 gave over $100 for something they could have obtained for free.

Out of those 8,000, around 2,900 chose to get the bundle for free. We are delighted that they were able to benefit from these resources and hope that their creative journey has been fulfilling.

What truly amazed us was that 5,100 people willingly chose to contribute financially. While some donated just a dollar or two, many gave much more. In fact, the average payment amounted to $13.17 for something that was available completely free of charge.

Over the course of approximately one year, our Pay-What-You-Can model generated over $67,000 in contributions.

This not only validated the immense support for our mission but also provided us with the means to push boundaries and make an even greater impact.

With this newfound momentum and your continued support in mind, we are thrilled to introduce you to the Pay-What-You-Can Shop.

This online store offers a range of physical products designed to infuse artistry into your daily life:

While we cannot offer these items at zero cost due to their physical nature, we have set the minimum price for each item equal to our production cost. By purchasing an item at its minimum price, you will receive it at cost, and we will not make any profit. If this is the only amount you can afford at the moment and the item brings joy to your life, please feel free to grab it, enjoy it, and cherish it.

However, if you are able to contribute more, please know that your generosity not only supports us but also enables us to provide these resources to those who may not be able to afford a higher price.

Your contribution becomes an integral part of our collective story and helps foster a community where creativity knows no bounds.

We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Our vision is to expand our Pay-What-You-Can model to include other artists' works, art supplies, and anything else that supports and nurtures creativity. But we can only make this dream a reality with your continued support.

Thank you for taking the time to understand why we have created the Pay-What-You-Can Shop.

We invite you to explore the shop, add some fun art and color to your space. Together, let's continue nurturing a world where creativity flourishes and every individual can unlock their full artistic potential.

Cheers,
Shelby Abrahamsen, Co-Founder of Little Coffee Fox and Foxsy
